  • Killiash, almost correct. Domnica is/was actually a dancer on the ship tho at the time of the accident she was on vacation and cruising as a passenger. The Maitre D grew up on the island and the salute was in part for him. The Captain referred to is not his father, just retired from the line.

  • First the fuel has to be removed. The tanks on the port side are already prepared to be drained but work is stopped due to weather. It will take 2-3 weeks to drain those 6 tanks. Then they need to get to the tanks on the submerged side, which will be much more difficult.

  • I am aquainted with someone that was on the cruise. The amount offered, which includes loss of personal items and cruise fare, plus additional airfares and transfers to the ship just barely covers her expenses. That total is in the $18,500 range.
